No, I'm not a Chinese man

A strange thing happend last night. I looked at my cell phone around 6 pm and saw that I had 9 missed calls. When I checked my messages, they were all hang ups. Thanks to the miracle of caller id, I knew that a few calls had been from friends and the others from someone returning my call regarding a suite for rent. Why didn't anyone leave a message? Ah well, I put my phone on silent and went for dinner with my friend Christina. Later I checked my phone again, another 4 missed calls. Hang ups again, but the last was from my best friend Mel saying that she was sure she had dialed the right number but wasn't sure it this was my voicemail. Weird. So, it turns out that somehow my voicemail greeting got changed into a man speaking mandarin/cantonese (not sure which) very rapidly followed by some beeping noises. How it happend, I have no idea. But no harm done, other than causing some great confusion among my friends.
