Portable Music

I've been looking to buy a portable music player. First I was thinking MP3 player, but they were getting a bit pricey for the capacity I wanted. So then I just purchased a portable MP3 CD player, the Panasonic SL-CT800. It was a good deal - $130 at London Drugs. I like it, but I would also like to have a radio tuner. Should I keep it and just forget about the tuner? I've looked for players that have both a tuner and an in-line remote, and they seem to be few and far between. There's the iRiver SlimX players, but there don't seem to be any Canadian retailers that sell them. Now I'm back to square one, thinking about returning my player for an MP3 player or even a MiniDisc player. Does anyone have any advice for me about portable music players?

Google Madness

I just googled my name and found that I'm mentioned in the 2003 Citizen's Report for the District of Maple Ridge (page 8 under the heading "April"). It says: Local student Jane Nunnikhoven named co-op student of the year by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education for her efforts to attract province-wide media coverage for an anti-smoking initiative. Crazy. If I hadn't googled myself I would have never known.

Moving Day

I moved in to Nicole and Fred's place today. A big thank you to them for letting me crash their pad! I'll be living here for a few months (maybe more) because 1) it's closer to my new job and 2) for about a month of that time I will be house/dog sitting for them.

I start my new job tomorrow. I was planning to take transit, but it looks like it may not be running due to protest pickets.
