October 25, 2002Look ma, I'm famous!Earlier this year I won the Student Member of the Year (SMOY) Award from the BC Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/BC). My entry for the award was about the United Way campaign that I helped put together when I worked at the North Shore Health Region (now the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority). The SMOY Award is fairly well recognized by the local communications industry, so receiving it is a pretty good boost for my future career (not to mention that it came with a $500 scholarship!). Anyways, here is my claim to fame (see bottom of first page).

October 13, 2002Happy Birthday to me!Well, I'm 23 today. It's a beautiful day, but unfortunately I have a big assignment for school that I need to work on. Went out for dinner last night and am having a family do this evening for my birthday, my sister-in-law's birthday and Thanksgiving.

October 06, 2002I'm still aliveJust wanted to let everyone know that I'm still alive - I've just been really busy with school these days. I'm actually planning to change the format of my journal a bit, but I just have to find some time to implement my new plan. So stay tuned!
